One Person

One Family

One Community

LOWER AMAZON 2019

Every year, Seeds of Life teams up with our counterparts in Brazil to visit towns and villages in the lower Amazon Basin. This was our sixth trip to the region; thus we have developed strong connections with the people in these communities. This year we once again provided food baskets for hundreds of families. These baskets of food provide up to a month of quality nutrition for families who struggle to put food on the table. In addition, we partnered with doctors and health care providers from Sao Paulo to host medical and dental clinics in the region.

0 to 5 NOW

According to a 2015 study released by the World Health Organization, children newborn to five years of age are at extreme risk in underdeveloped countries. In fact, ELEVEN children five and under die every minute due to poverty-related issues.

All donations are used to purchase emergency food supplies for families with children newborn to 5 years of age living in the lower Amazon Basin of Brazil.

Last year, we raised over $5000.00 through individual donations. We continue to draw money for this campaign as this is a great way for anyone to get involved. We’ve made it easy. You can donate any amount, but we are specifically targeting small donations of $10 to $50. This allows anyone to make a difference for one person, one family, and one community.

city impact

We have the privilege of working with local outreaches in Curionopolis and Serra Pelada. Through the generosity of our partners, we have been able to pay for the construction of a home for a family who was living in terrible conditions.

In 2018, we funded a project that gave an elderly woman a kitchen and bathroom in her home.

In 2019, the generosity of our network of donors allowed us to fund the construction of a community center in Curionopolis. The center serves as a place families can gather for events, medical clinics, after-school programs and much more.

We are grateful and excited to see how the new community center is being used to improve the lives of families and individuals in the Amazon Basin!
